Do I have to pay to use UniMate?
No. Compass is free forever and covers every flow, deadline reminder, and document guide. You only pay if you want a real person to help you — a call, chat, or onsite.
Are the paid plans a subscription?
No. Companion and Concierge are one-time payments. No recurring bill, no cancellation to remember.
Which track should I pick — new-student or renewal?
If this is your first year in Barcelona and you don't have a TIE yet, pick new-student. If you already have a TIE that's close to expiring, pick renewal.
What does 'onsite' actually mean?
A UniMate teammate physically meets you in Barcelona. For new students that means airport pickup, SIM card, empadronamiento, and your first TIE appointment. For renewals we come with you to the renewal appointment.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes. Start with Compass, and if you get stuck later, you can pay for Companion or Concierge at any point from your dashboard.
How does payment work?
Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and SEPA are all supported through Stripe. Your access unlocks the moment payment clears — usually within a few seconds.
